Hi my pretties!
I know most of you are probably snuggled up underneath a blanket at this point in the day (given you live anywhere near where I do) and are just super glad that this week has reached its end! For most of you who are studying, I’m assuming you’re either about to start your holidays very soon or are well and truly in the middle of the holidays and have no idea which day or month it is right now (it happens to everyone I assure you..). As for those of you who are working not studying, let’s try and think of this weekend as a mini-2-day-holiday and use it as a chance to catch up on missed sleep and rest where we can – because what could possibly be better?
This look today is probably not the most weather appropriate one I have to be honest.. I actually shot this look sometime last year while I was in the city on my lunch break from work, so I didn’t have the opportunity to walk around and try a variety of backgrounds with ample time as I usually do. However, that being said, I really did end up loving how my white jacket contrasted against the graffiti wall as you can see above. The centrepiece of this outfit was the striped crop top from Forever New that actually came as part of a matching coord set. As much as I do like to match my outfits, I felt a solid blue skirt would pair better with this top than a skirt with additional stripe detailing. On a sidenote, Forever New currently have a further 25% off sale on today and you can grab this top for under $30 – which in all honesty is a lot less than what I paid for it!
I’m sure you know by know that I’m all about mixing up brands in every look and it’s very rarely that I’d ever have a head-to-toe look in a single brand. The bodycon skirt and white leather-look jacket were both from Valleygirl and the white wedges (which are in my regular rotation) are from Novo. The Colette handbag which finished off this look was the perfect bright pop of colour I felt and it’s one that I fell in love with before buying (although I had to keep on eyeing it until it went on sale).
The small accessory details which accompanied the look were super simple because I didn’t feel the need to make anything else stand out. Therefore I went with a pair of Bevilles heart earrings, a round Prouds pendant, a set of Forever New mixed metal bangles, geometric Lovisa rings and my classic Armani watch. As for makeup, the only product used was my favourite Mysterious Red NARS lipstick which I used to never leave home without – if you’ve ever tried it, I’m sure you could understand why!
Well that’s all I’ve got to say for this look for now …in all honesty my white jacket from this look is probably the most difficult-to-handle item in my wardrobe and has already been stained hence rendered unwearable.. (insert sad face). So if you’ve got any recommendations as to where I could grab a new one from please do leave a comment below – I’m definitely in the market for a new one!
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this look – I’ll admit it is a slightly different look from all my other ones, so I’m very keen to hear your thoughts..
I hope you all enjoy your weekend (or holidays) ahead and may you all catch up on your lost sleep!
